On The Spolight: Oscar Castan

Oscar Castan is a teen host, actor and influencer best known for his Young Artist Academy nominated role as host of the Gen Z Buzz. Oscar recently booked a recurring role as a news anchor for a children’s streaming network. We had the chance to chat with him and talk about his career. Take a look!

How did you start your career? How old were you?

I started a YouTube channel “Oscar the Gameboy” when I was in the 3rd Grade. I would cover special events and started interviewing celebrities. I slowly made my way to acting after I was cast in a few Disney and Netflix Projects as background.

Can you tell us a little bit more about your recent projects?

I’m the Host of Z Star Digital Agency’s show THE GEN Z BUZZ it’s an awesome chat show where we interview your favorite celebrities and influencers. I also have a few Secret projects I am working on so make sure to stay tuned.

What has been your favorite part of your journey in the industry?

My favorite part of journey is all the awesome NEW things I am learning straight from the experts, I have learned so much about acting and being on set.

What is it like being the host of the Gen Z Buzz at such a young age?

It has been so fun to be a part of such an exciting show in my own creative way. My favorite part is playing different types of trivia style games with different talent that I have the opportunity to interact with, the games make the show more like time spent with friends instead of just regular interviews.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do for fun?

When I’m not working or going to school, I like to play VR games and draw. I’m getting pretty good at drawing during quarantine.

What are your goals for the future? What do you want to be doing in 5 years?

I WILL be working on the next MARVEL MOVIE (fingers crossed lol). I see myself acting as a lead character, this is the biggest goal I have been working on.
